አማርኛ A single stakes one amount on one outcome at one price. It is the cleanest expression of a betting opinion and the baseline for judging every fancier structure: any accumulator, system or builder is just singles glued together with extra margin.
Professionals bet almost exclusively in singles for exactly that reason — each bet stands on its own value, pays the margin once, and settles without dragging other opinions down with it.
Worked example
Three opinions at 2.00 each, one unit total to deploy. Three ⅓-unit singles: each pays 0.67 profit when right, independent of the others. The same unit on a treble pays 7× when all three land (≈13% of the time at fair prices) and zero otherwise — same opinions, triple margin, all-or-nothing profile.
